ALL I KNOW.

By now, you should be well familiar with the sights and sounds of Brooklyn’s best new band Wet, as these past few weeks have seen the slow reveal of their self-titled debut EP ahead of its release and their CMJ takeover this week. To celebrate, we’re bringing it back to the track that started the love affair six months ago, as we premiere the fourth and final track “You’re The Best”. The song formerly known as “U Da Best” finds new life on the EP with an adjusted name and fresh studio makeover, but remains a delectably mellifluous swoon song full of airtight emotion and head-tilting charm. As the beautiful simplicity ensnares you, frontlady Kelly Zutrau draws you in further with a voice that’s a little bit Jenny Lewis, a little bit Imogen Heap, and all kinds of perfect. The final product is a bit like skinny-dipping in caramel, and it doesn’t hurt that the deft acoustic swipes and meditative percussion perfectly complement the sugar. The Wet EP is available now on 10″ vinyl HERE (and digitally from the group’s Bandcamp), as the trio kick off CMJ tonight at Bowery Ballroom ahead of sets at Fader Fort and New Shapes later this week.
