NOBODY BUT YOU.

Every year an unsigned band drops a big song in the lead up to SXSW and becomes the band everyone’s falling all over themselves to see all week. And this year, we’re gonna go ahead and call it now: Sydney’s Tigertown are that band. One listen to their summer anthem-in-waiting “Papernote,” and we immediately had to have them on everything we were doing down there. Produced to radiant pop perfection by Iceland’s Siggi and our dudes Captain Cuts – straight chilling at the top of the alternative charts these past few weeks with their Walk The Moon number one – it’s an early contender for the alt radio song of the summer, from the sky-scraping synths to the Instagram-filtered vocals. Once it hits that top-down, hands-in-the-sky moment in the chorus, it already feels like the Southern hemisphere’s answer to St. Lucia and HAERTS that we’ve been thirsting for our entire lives. Get down with Tigertown below, and be sure to catch them playing New Shapes and Neon Golden at SXSW next week.
