Earlier this month, we introduced Tigertown as the newest members of the Neon Gold family, and today they take things to the next level with the grand unveiling of their debut single proper, “Lonely Cities”. Like “Dancing On My Own” before it, “Lonely Cities” channels heartsick emotion into triumphant vulnerability, as Tigertown deliver a long distance anthem for the ages. The end result is three minutes of shimmering alt radio bliss, weaving together tropical pop guitars and a soaring house piano chorus amidst surging brass and pulsing bass grooves. It’s bigger than you, it’s bigger than me, it’s bigger than ALL of us, and we couldn’t be happier to bring it into the world next month on Neon Gold. The Lonely Cities EP is out February 5th and available for preorder digitally now and on transparent orange vinyl in the Neon Gold Shop, preceded by the band’s Popshop debut supporting Savoir Adore next Wednesday (last few tickets here).
