THIS IS A PASSION PLAY.

Minneapolis’s finest, Step Rockets, are clearly onto something. After coming out the gates strong with one of the most radio-ready debuts of last year on “Kisser” and keeping the heat coming on smoothtalking follow up “Heart Attack Again”, they return today with new single “Phantom Flower” ahead of their US run with K. Flay this month. “Phantom” brings more of the effortless 80’s pop hooks we’ve come to expect from the MPLS quarter, twinkling cloud nine synths flying high over a dark, jittery bass groove that amps you up for the inevitable singalong chorus lying in wait just around the bend. Feel the energy below, and keep an eye out for Step Rockets hitting NYC at The Knitting Factory later this month.
