We’ve been up on Manchester’s finest Oceaán ever since our good friends over at Chess Club first turned us on to his hypnagogic debut EP, The Grip. And today, Oceaán’s rapidly expanding universe collides with that of Melbourne’s Hoodlem, as the shadowy duo remix Grip lead single “Veritas”. The Down Under dark angels – whose recent Tobtok collaboration for Kitsuné was a highlight of 2014’s twilight – peel back the future-perfect Jai Paul touches of the original and dial up the funk, as deep space disco synths and breathless looping vocals whisk you away gently into the night.
