There’s a new bright young thing out of Sydney by the name of The Kingdom, and he’s locked, loaded and set to explode onto your radar this week. At 16 years young, writer/producer JMJM is as precocious as it gets, with debut single “Everything You Fight For” synthesizing UK club beats, rally cry samples and boy-girl vocal interplay into a gloriously prismatic protest record concocted in JM’s suburban Sydney bedroom. Featuring an upstanding vocal turn from his art school classmate, Odette, and recorded on weekends away from school, it’s a considerably massive debut that should have The Kingdom tipped for big things as we reach the twilight of 2014 and look ahead towards the new year.
