We’ve been high on Hopium since they delivered one of the best songs of last summer on “Dreamers”, and this week they’re back looking set to do it all over again with a massive follow up in “Right Now”. Getting maximum results from a highly minimal production approach, it’s got all the hooks and production chops of a Top 40 Mustard hit – not to mention an orchestral auto-tuned outro that’d make Kanye proud – and one of the best videos of the year to boot. Directed by the band with Yoav Lester, it’s a fittingly hyperkinetic, color-splashed concept video, drenched in gradients and reverse cuts and inspired by the technicolor work of James Turrell.
