Since turning every head in the room last fall with one of the best tracks of 2013 on “Since Last Wednesday” (above), the first taste of their sophomore album Silent Treatment, Highasakite have quickly worked their way up the ranks of our favorite new Scandinavian artists. The Norwegian five-piece have stumbled onto a kind of feverish, larger-than-life pop formula that sounds like Lykke Li meeting Jonsi and Viva La Vida-era Coldplay in a snowglobe fantasy. Today they return with another taste of the new record, with the premiere of “Darth Vader,” a more left-of-center upbeat number, all skittering guitars and playground hooks. Silent Treatment arrives stateside April 8th, as the band follow up their buzzworthy run at SX with a US run supporting London Grammar.
