ABANDONED BY YOUR WHITE SAILS.

Gang of Youths are the latest Australians to make waves on our shores, first turning heads at last year’s CMJ and cruising into SXSW next week on a tidal wave of industry buzz. Debut (and sole) offering “Evangelists” finds them doing the US alt radio thing better than most of their stateside counterparts, from the heavensent harmonies to the Americana guitars and cathartic lyrical turns. It’s undoubtedly big, with an out-of-the-box radio-ready feel that’s a bit like Sam’s Town-era Killers with a little Springsteen in their step. But before they blow through SX next week, they make their LA debut at Popshop West, supporting Arthur Beatrice and Babes on one of our favorite Popshop bills ever. Tickets are still available HERE, and trust us, this is not one to miss.
