NEVER MAKE IT BACK.

Storytime: when we first dreamed up the idea of Popshop with The Knocks hungover after SXSW many moons ago, Erik Hassle topped our original shortlist of acts to play the night. Now nearly four years and 100+ shows later, that dream is finally becoming a reality as Erik Hassle makes his Neon Gold live debut at Popshop West next week. To whet your appetite, his latest feature – this time for Parisian Mad Decent maestros Picard Brothers – arrives today in the form of “Goodbye & Goodluck”, yet another reminder of why Erik’s one of our favorite vocalists in the game. Ice cold and silky-smooth, the Picards’ production provides the perfect backdrop for Hassle’s second-to-none Scandinavian R&B, as the troupe notch a worthy follow up to Hassle’s other show-stopping feature of 2014, Gorgon City‘s “FTPA”. Catch Erik headlining Popshop West at The Echo next week, with local support from Conway and Machineheart and advance tickets still available HERE.
