THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.

16 year old London wunderkind Declan Mckenna is about as precocious as it gets. Currently being chased by just about every label, manager and publisher in the UK, debut single “Brazil” makes it easy to see why. With a riff-soaked sunny side-up intro that draws you in from the get-go, it’s got all the makings of a modern British classic. A protest song to FIFA president Sepp Blatter masquerading as a summer-ready dashboard mainstay, it sounds like the perfect middle point between Jamie T and Fyfe Dangerfield, with shades of Pete Doherty thrown in for good measure. And with the industry going full Hunger Games over the young Londoner at the moment, you’re going to want to get familiar ASAP before he follows Lorde’s footsteps to the adolescent alt radio throne.
